The reason I first posted on the AAJ threads was to counter this Slate Dam – Super Pit rubbish. Then they started drawing parallels with the Invincible deposit. More crap. The Invincible deposit is part of the St Ives 35Moz gold camp. There’s nothing at all to suggest that there’s anything remotely comparable at Slate Dam.

The Super Pit rubbish is based on a bottom of hole aircore anomaly at the supergene enrichment horizon. If you’re not getting good ore-grade hits in the supergene enriched zone then good luck finding anything at ore grades in the lower grade fresh rock underneath.

So far (although I haven’t been following it closely of late) all they’ve found is as much as the previous explorers have found, so there’s been little in the way of discoveries. The previous explorers grid-drilled the ground out with aircore from end to end and walked away for a reason.

They might get lucky but you can get lucky at the casino as well. It’s very difficult to find an orebody.Have a look at DRG or BRB. They’ve got massive 1.5g/t resources but how much of that is ore? I bet plenty of that dirt won’t make it into reserves. If the mines do proceed they aren’t guaranteed to turn a profit, but that’s what AAJ needs to find to even have a chance of getting somewhere and so far I don’t see much evidence of that.Anyway, here we are a year later and it all looks a bit like a classic pump and dump.Here’s some old posts that I copped a lot of flak for:
