The Shire of Chapman Valley Council has repeatedly opposed Option 4, favouring instead Option 6 which is the Northampton Bypass, the upgrade of the existing North West Coastal Highway and the purchase and construction of the Oakajee Narngulu Infrastructure Corridor (‘ONIC’) to serve as the Geraldton Bypass.
Option 6 gives the best support for the Full Oakajee Port and Rail infrastructure project
