I have accepted your challenge and think I have found the reason there is so little magnetite produced in Australia.
1. The deposits are too hard and consume too much power when crushed to size.
2. The Resources have too high a LOI [ loss on ignition ]
IRD Murphy South Resource has 4.5% LOI as against BHP Mt Newman Brockman Ore has 2.1% LOI
