Hi Chillam and team, its nice to be back in circulation after a foray into shale gas in China and its environs. Been busy raising corporate funding in New York as well. I have missed the opportunity, due to time zones to stir the pot again.
I was unaware of the article mentioned, I was working on feedback from my friends in Delhi who are spreading rumours like wild fire. There is a lot of suspicion about what Oilex has done there in the past and the hype associated with the volumes of both oil and gas.
In any conversation I have had with members of the board, I have sensed a reluctance to build a long term future in India. I don't blame them. it is one of the most difficult of places to work and get things done. Many people make more money not doing anything and many fear getting it wrong and rather do nothing. Show me a man who never makes a mistake and I'll show you a man who doesn't do anything!
As for what we want, rarely do we get what we want. it makes perfect business sense for Magna to manage their business and make as much money as possible, to do this, the common sense approach is to wipe out option values. anything over 15c costs a lot of money. just basic common sense. Knowing the history of performance and astuteness of Mike Watts of Magna, a man you would be foolish to disrespect, I would believe that he can convince OEX to withdraw from India.
we can only hope for huge test results as soon as possible because I would expect Watts to move before the results come in.
If the results are good, but delayed by the board,(giving Magna time to make an offer), it will arouse suspicion.
so let's all hope that RM's conservatism avoids this suspicion and he spreads the word as soon as he can. In my mind, there is little doubt that the well will flow and initially, the flow will be good, but it is a tight reservoir and the depletion curve is steep. initial volumes will give a hype, that's when we all need to look at our portfolios.

Remember, this is all conjecture and you will all notice my significant lack of writing skills and lack of journalistic clap trap or gobbledygook. Maybe I need a trip to Cairo!! I need to go on a 7 year diet!!
