February is going to be the month for MNQ. FT is now on Board and if MNQ are going to bid for the assets of BOK, as some on Hot Copper are suggesting, then that bid has to be in by 8 Feb. I assume by end of Feb MNQ will now if they are successful. MNQ suggested in their AGM presentation that they were hopeful of signing up a gold deal before Christmas. That deal could not have been the BOK assets so they must be looking at something else. They missed the Christmas deadline and not much happens in January with people on holidays, so again that suggests that MNQ management need to get something done in February. It seems MNQ have a lot to achieve next month.
