"Mergers and Acquisition [activity] appears to be building up in the mid-cap space, said analysts at Investec in a note.  The flurry of  dealmaking underscores the attractiveness of COPPER, where DEMAND is poised to OUTSTRIP SUPPLY due to a LACK of mining projects."  

Berenberg brokers also commented in the FT article. The Nevsun M & A is for Timok Copper in Serbia.

In the Mining.com artice re: Steve Torodruk, he also talks of Ecuador mining taxes and of late that has also been brought up by the Ecuador govt.
