At 30th June last year WBA had hedges in place for A$16M in various currencies, so it could have already hedged a fair sum prior to the recent $A fall.
As for profits the A$ rate is important but so is production volume,quality and pricing. It appears volume is good but even though the harvest would be finished WBA keeps its shareholders in the dark about quality. I imagine those who worked on the harvest know the result and maybe MIS holders too so why keep this important news from shareholders?
