I think the gap is stupid because there is no logical reason why it should be closed, but more often than not, it does get closed (all things remaining equal).

It's like obsessive compulsive disorder. It doesn't need to get done, but when it is, at least everyone is happy and they can move on.

The only thing that can save the CAP SP IMO is something positive from Hughenden. The $$$ for Hawson's are just too far away to stop the SP decay.
