well tabcorp should hopefully have the cash reserves to throw lobyists at the government to wine and dine them... so they revise legislation so australians can gamble on australian operated/hosted online casino and poker rooms.
The government would a fool to keep it banned, as imagine the tax revenue?! They lost out with the resources super profits tax - I doubt they would get as much grief with allowing online gambling.. Aussies love a punt/to gamble!
Here's hoping they allow it.
