That, and considering WTI is currently at $48.57 per barrel one cannot be to bearish."

The old "this and that" strategy.  Got it. Move the goalposts. Kick goal. Move the goalposts. Kick another goal. Missed it by that much. One should be flexible I agree.

Why when WTI rises it gets quoted and "one cannot be bearish" but when it falls well then "mum's  the word" - maybe no one will notice? The obvious answer is that it doesn't suit the "that strategy". Better to keep that off any discussion The oil traders (i.e. the commodity market players) are the ones making money on trading oil. BTW oil down (3.5%) overnight to $46.81. Did it make it past $50. I think not. Surely the money guys want to rally it past $50, suck in a few more before OPEC and then bring it back down??

"Members of the Opec are on track to agree on an output-freeze deal as its biggest producers pump flat-out, said Chakib Kehlil, the group’s former president. Russia and Saudi Arabia have both hinted that the countries are open to discussing actions that would help stabilise the market."

my bolding strike any else as strange. If you are the biggest producer (i.e. KSA) and you are already pumping flat out (are they?) then a "freeze" for all suits you as opposed to a free for all. Why would you cut? Well I can think of one reason. Spike up oil IN FRONT OF the pending Aramco IPO. Of course the other thing is OPEC production targets have never really been "enforceable" have they.

Of course there is money to be made by being in the "right" side of the trade. From what I read and specific to AKK, the announcement that all 3 wells have been flow tested with rates that indicate EUR above the 55MBO level is "the trade". Stock price goes up, momentum buyers come in for "FOMO", the number of marginal buyers thus increases, competition for shares increases, more cash/shares available for rinsing and soon after it will stop and some will be left holding for the next phase, which is .... and you should all know what that is by now.

If you are on that trade - great - I hope it works out for you. Its a market so profit from it.

If you are not in for that trade, recognize those who are and discern fact from fiction, as there are some who will post fiction and try to discredit others to keep your attention on "their book".
