agentm, thanks for the ongoing details about roundhouse. Yes, would be good to learn about nearby drilling IP rates.

I won't debate about a SEA-change at TXN, but maybe its a possibility.

However, I disagree with your belief about "manipulation of the sp to suit an efs transaction". I doubt any suitor could buy up enough shares to even begin to take over TXN at a discount because few shares are available on market. Even a 1% on-market buy-up would alert the market, causing the sp to jump.

Why is the sp this low? Poor PR/communication may be a factor, but I think it is mainly fatigue about the stock's performance and TXN's lack of activity (until this past month). TXN needs to produce results again, both production results and exploration results. The company seems to be back into action to do this.

    Comments on other posts today:

Tilleydog: "the tenure of the board must come into question". I agree. TXN has solid assets and apparently talented people who have not been applying that talent. The board has fallen badly on this, and seems to have had a flawed strategy to sell EFS without ongoing business activity (until now).

gsnz: "they should invent a penalty clause where they have to pay double the option price if the share price falls below a certain level? " Novel idea, but not realistic, Instead, the CEO should have 1/3 of base salary paid directly into shares (not options) without withdrawal rights for 12 months. With share options, the CEO loses nothing if SP falls. With owned shares, the CEO suffers and benefits like shareholders.

Hotfire: "I fired an email last Thursday." Thanks! We all appreciate attempts to communicate to mgt that all is not well.

Well, after pondering several stocks, I bought (while writing) a few more TXN at my lowest average down price. We'll see over the next month or two whether that decision was wise.
