Three new independent Directors all being Melbourne as additions to the current Board with varying skills to round out the Board competency and provide the business with supplementary services that are currently missing.

Let me be clear of my view of independent - not representative of any major shareholder, not employed by any other Director, not related to any other Director and holds no shares in AHF greater than 5%, a pure independent would hold zero shares but this is always topical.

These three new Board members must bring unique skills, attributes and features to AHF that collectively create a critical mass of business power. That must support a solid, progressive and sustainable growth plan, generate a heightened market awareness of what AHF is and where it is heading, create an attractive environment and compelling proposition for the institutional investment community and be held in high regards in its ability to engage and inform all shareholders equally in the future.

The second part is there needs to be some succession planning in place and with 5 Directors the succession is inbuilt with the exception of the Chairman's role and that must be addressed. Succession planning must extend to the CEO and any other key member of the management team and although I believe this is partially covered it needs to be verified.

For now it is up the current Board to open their lines of communication and consider all options that may come their way for what is best for the company they are appointed to provide oversight, governance and stewardship for. If not then the consequences may well be a 2nd strike later this year and worse still is there may well be unintended consequences due to the retail bias of the AHF share register and evidence of previous votes counts versus shares issued.

I can think of three excellent candidates worthy of consideration if the Board is prepared to listen and those three come with a very compelling non-threatening proposition for everyone.
