Yes, but my take is that the demand is compressed and deferred, not lost forever. Happened several times before eg 9/11, GFC, 2011. The people not spending in the period up to December has just deferred the spending to a future period.
Furthermore, going into the future, the contribution from Australia will be much less relevant compared to ROW, especially USA and UK, followed by Singapore, HK, China and India. I actually expect Australia to decline in the short to medium term, which is insignificant compared to the big picture of growing middle class affluence around the world. Within the next ten years, I am quite confident that FLT will be hitting Profit Before Tax close to the billion dollar mark.
