Ringing the company yesterday they said Patersons have never received stock from them and did not underwrite the options in any way. Hartleys underwrote the options and then had sub-underwriters. Some of the sub-underwriters must use patersons. The selling is typical of patersons but the company reiterated they have not used patersons and doesn't deal with them.

It's a shame but we just have to sit it out and wait for them to be absorbed before good news. Hopefully we don't have long to wait.

My mistake. However the end result whether Hartleys or Patersons is the same. Their bread and butter is just this sort of thing and that is a fact of life. Cleverer people than me see it coming and wait before buying.
