    Thank you for your selective input.
    The edited pasting was to limit areas less relevent to debate.
    The present renewables (hydro excepted ) are appallingly inefficient and until storage catches up have added enormously to energy costs. (see SA and Vict.)
    No wonder there are so many coal stations being built around the world except for Australia .
    The basic point is this: There are technologies out there that can efficiently cut costs and emissions and some being developed
    Thorium nuclear ,fission and many other hydrogen ones.
    In the meantime we shouldn`t spend trillions on destroying our societies by using our present inefficient renewables which only produce at about 30% of their capacities and cripple businesses and consumers.
