Stocking levels supporting 300tpa output now well established. • Local County supports Australis with its own new street address of ‘One Australia Way’. • US fish grow-out facility continues to perform to expectations. Fish Marketing Australis Aquaculture Limited (ASX:AAQ) is pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive and long-term marketing arrangement with Interseas Fisheries Limited, a New Jersey based major US seafood broker specialising in premium fish. Interseas Marketing Director, Nat Reiken a 35 year veteran of the seafood industry has been closely following the progress of the company and has maintained a keen interest in handling the company’s Barramundi, a fish he is well familiar with in the US marketplace. “After actually seeing the fish in the grow-out tanks and learning how ecologically efficient your methods are, I was truly excited about our future involvement with Australis. It is a ‘State of the Art’ aquaculture facility in Turners Falls. The unequalled freshness and being able to offer a ‘locally harvested’ but still authentically Australian fish has significant value to our U.S. customers.” Mr. Reiken said. Interseas have agreed to exclusively offer Australis’ Barramundi to their extensive list of wholesale customers. MD Stewart Graham said the arrangement gives the Company immediate access to a very large and targeted customer base. Inteseas is confident they can sell our entire fresh product through their extensive client base across the US. We are also entering the market with our locally produced product at a time when conventional imports are at a disadvantage due to the low level of US dollar. Previous arrangements for live fish sales remain and Australis will deal with its US West Coast wholesalers directly. Fingerlings fly to the USA Shipments of fingerlings continue to leave Australia every seven weeks for Australis’ grow-out facility. Stocking levels are now well established at 300tpa. The new fingerling receiving area designed and built by the company called ‘System Adelaide’, is working extremely well. Text Box: ASX Release November 22, 2004
