Thanks, Revels. McHugh doesn't pull any punches, does he.

The USA is very strange, full of contradictions. If the lawmakers cannot find a way to over-ride this ruling (and I can't see how they can, because as I understand it, the ruling was made on constitutional grounds), then I have to agree that their democracy looks like being finished.

I'll be scanning the papers for interpretations and analysis of this major ruling over the next few days (trying to sort out the opinion from the hard analysis).
