The only thing stopping solar is battery tech is not quite economic ...yet
But if cost trends continue solar will absolutely dominate the energy market
unless something better eventuates - then energy will so cheap it would not be an issue
Anything involving radiation/nuclear has a downside - health risks, terrorism risk etc
