$16 AUD, unless Tullamarine has relocated towards Geelong, the Macedon Ranges, Gippsland or Wangaratta: $16 AUD is ridiculous IMHO.
No wonder the TCL current road patronage has stayed flat or constant. There appears to be no other choice but to pay.
In America (say on Greyhound) or Europe/ England (Bahn, National Express, First Group), prices for the public bus are nothing like that unless your airport is the equivalent of Melbourne to say Shepparton or Benalla or Warrnambool but then again the infrastructure i.e. roads, railroads and trainlinks are publicly owned or publicly regulated by the anti-trust regulators who police competition and reduce windfall pricing.
