IMHO there is a bigger difference between big business and small business than previously.
Big business does not care about some costs as they can, due to their monopolies just increase the costs to the consumer and we are forced to pay, but small business will go broke if it has to increase costs
All politicians are going to look after themselves first, we will never get the perfect politician so we should be trying to make the system more democratic by having a system where we can stop the excesses of some politicians without waiting for the next election
So fix the system do not try and get the perfect person to lead us
