Scimitar locates new uranium zone at Mawson 13:25, Tuesday, 12 December 2006
Sydney - Tuesday - December 12: (RWE Aust Business News) - Scimitar Resources (ASX:SIM) has identified a new zone of uranium mineralisation at the Mawson project, South Australia. This is approximately 10 kilometres west of the Mount Painter complex which is host to numerous small scale uranium mines. This area will be the focus of further field exploration through ground radiometric surveys and detailed mapping and sampling in the next quarter. The company is currently completing drilling programs on the Eclipse project in the Northern territory for near surface calcrete uranium mineralisation and also for sedimentary roll front uranium mineralisation at Glencoe in South Australia.
