Well this is the bit I love.
The saying is be careful for what you wish for.
We've just seen from the courts that laws can be introduced than impinge existing rights and freedoms. Message is not a safe place ever to do business, let alone put any capital investments. The government can fcuk you over any time they want by introducing legislation. Compensation, well reading the judge's decision, it was a faith accomplis so the "how" becomes irrelevant as the outcome will be the same.
Time for LKO to move on.
For LKO, well I believe if you read the statements, some drilling for Gas is to begin in SA later this year.
As for Victoria, what this decision represents isn't the death knell of democracy, but certainly an erosion of freedoms.
I am in no doubt gas will be unlocked in a number of states. History has shown the economic prosperity Oil and Gas brings. Australia has probably the largest gas reserves in the world.
Irony is that even if a lib government gets in. Why on earth would any company risk investing if the next government that gets in reverses everything ? You wouldn't.
VIC will having rising tax bills to cover the overruning infrastructure projects !! Jobs will go as well Victoria isn't the place to do business if you're a company on the wrong side of the government.
