Supply of material will not be an issue either as more discoveries drive prices lower into the next decade with the indication supercapacitors may only complement the market at best but not replace the lithuim-ion chemistry of today.Being first to market holds an incredible advantage combined with battery efficiency at 18% annually the entire land scape will be a different one to that of today with Lithium-ion chemistry dominating the market place.Charging stations and quick start up times will be an issue resolved to the past rolled out across every country and by the time the supercap battery has convinced the market its charge time advantage may only amount to being the equal. Then they have to convince the market.
Goodluck with the supercap battery's

Croc mate, there is no reliability with lithium Ion, they degrade and they explode.
Not so Supercaps.
I see the " contest ", just like AC and DC current, with the lower cost Supercap, prevailing, just as AC power did.
But then again Croc, I'm biased.
