Rising production and higher lithium prices have reinforced the profit potential of the Greenbushes mine in WA’s South West as it waits to reap the full benefits of a dramatic expansion.
New filings for the mine’s private owner show Greenbushes’ net profit jumped by nearly a third last year to $255.6 million from $196.8 million the year earlier as sales revenue leapt 38 per cent to $586.3 million.
