Chuss, your "expert" is saying that the energy required to produce a lithium cell is equal to the diesel used by a car in 69,888 hours (i.e. 24 hours x 7 days x 52 weeks x 8 years). Assume the car uses a minimum of 1 litre of diesel per hour and the diesel cost a minimum of $1 per litre, then the energy to produce a lithium cell for a car costs more that $69,888. Wow, so that's why China, UK, VW, Volvo, etc, etc are keen to go EV! Was the "expert" Donald Dump or Tony Rabbott or some other fakenews guru?
