China can see what is happening and they are taking over as soon as other countries act on this it will be game on. China has Cornered the market for electric cars worldwide Volvo will be made in China BMW will be made in China so basically China has almost a monopoly on the battery supply worldwide this will see National Security for Europe and the US and elsewhere create a scramble for lithium - it is going to be a generational change. Governments act very slowly you can already see the writing on the wall the scramble for reserves of lithium and especially lithium battery manufacturing will become a huge issue almost like oil security. If a country can't manufacture it's own electric batteries or has no marketshare for lithium they are going to be screwed. Petrol car manufacturers are really not cared for electric car manufacturing we are going to see new companies pop-up that will make electric car is cheaper and better than normal standard car companies
