Yea buuuuuuut, Lithium only makes up like 4 percent of a lithium ion battery. It's mostly the anode and cathode that makes the mass of the battery up. So that logic isn't sound.
You are right, the weight of the battery matters and the technology needs to not only store more energy by volume but also by mass. But it's not as simple as iron vs lithium mass density comparison.
