My brother drives Volvos for Lyn fox in NZ has automatic transmissions that have some exotic engine braking system already built in , anyway the chassis for Isuzu's are custom built in Tauranga NZ for NZ , the truck owner orders what he wants ie air suspension/leaf spring tag axle short chassis tipper, so if what occurs in NZ with customising also happens in Australia sounds like bull dust that the manufacturer wont do it in their factory , because the truck optioning is subbied out in NZ
As for army if it is anything like the NZ army the trucks are hardly used so can not see an advantage of having SIBS brakes.
Had a look at ABVs website does not even show the ford ranger brake conversion there , so very poor PR.
