Yes there was going to be a copper statue of WM and PH just like the state of origon trophy. 50 tonne of native copper was shipped to china ready to be melted down and poored into the mould. At the time the massive statue was gonna be placed at the clonk park near the railway lines. The decision at the time as WC was in Hong Kong was not to do this statue as 50 tonne of copper was worth approximately 250 000k. I beleive the copper was just then given to the foundy as a gift to see how it reacted with heat. The information about how the copper reacted to heat and poored into ingots was invaluable when they got the kilm at site to poor 1 tonne ingots. Sadly out of 250000t of stock piled clay they extrated around 450 t of native copper and around 2500 t of hight grade glitering road base.
