Just wondering if you've looked at Paul Moore's two LICs, PGF and PAF. Both pay reasonable dividends. Some big sector bets though (domestic banking, US and European housing recovery, Macau gaming etc) which may not be to everyone's liking.
APL is also interesting, but, with their substantial short interests, they are almost net neutral on the USA, which might or might not prove to be a good thing. Lesser shorts in other markets.
