I hate to disillusion you, but that is NOT why it is the case. Although, it was a fantastic way to hide the truth, as has been done since October last year.
If you beleive the announcements these people are feeding you, then you should apply for a place on the board and maybe move to Singapore with the rest of the people that are of the understanding that they run this little company!
