I think the govt's decision to ban UCG was a kneejerk reaction to LNC more than anything else. As with most ALP decisions - it wasn't thought through that well - and they probably didn't expect CNX to kick up such a fuss - especially with CSIRO in tow.

I agree with you mmm - this cloud certainly does have a silver lining and maybe this event will help break the deadlock that has been occuring in UCG thanks to the LNC/Qld legal arm-wrestle
