There’s always the compromise between grade, volume and extraction method. Resolution copper project in the US is 2,000m underground but there is 1.7billion tonnes at over 1.5%CuEq and it is going through final stages and looks economical but requires a large amount of capital of which the owners have access to. The resource lies over an area that is 2km long, 1.5km wide and 500m thick. Good to mine by bulk extraction using block caving.

At 400m-500m deep and no high grade vein mineralisation in between surface and the NPF I really think the only way that’s ever going to be economical on its own is with CuEq grades of over 2.5% and over 40mt..or something like 100mt @ 2.0%CuEq .... asssuming the mineralisation is only 30m thick this is going to be really hard to achieve and is not really suitable to block caving. All my opinion.
