Vale has just announced that the giant Goro nickel project has produced its first nickel metal product and that the plant should be in production before the end of the year. The article can be found at the link below:

As mentioned in earlier posts, Penrice Soda won the contract to supply Goro with Soda Ash early in 2008 but the project has been delayed in starting up. It seems a reasonable assumption that Penrice would still have this contract.
