Personally, I don't see what the outcry is all about regarding the buildings, they bring a modern flavour to an otherwise drab and outdated cityscape, not imposing at all given all the massive existing buildings in the "City of Villages". Of course ROI is priority for any developer and end-users of the space otherwise what's the point of developing, something we as investors understand but not the uninformed few that desire to oppose an improvement to their lifestyle. Barangaroo like most developments are not perfect there may be some flaws, especially given all the red tape involved, compromises need to be reached, but geez, this development definitely brings more to the city of Sydney than any hypothesised harm it apparently inflicts. After all the CBD is a business district, my 2 cents worth anyway!
