Now, imagine a +70 metre comms tower, and the thunderstorm you can see approaching.
What do you do? You get your people down immediately, and carry on when you can. Usually the next day.
I say again - the 'can't work in the NT wet' is used by people who are better served by picking up a salary for doing nothing.
When there is no reason why they can't.
Oh, and don't think for a second that logistics, terrain, environmental, community relations factors in Java are any better than those in the NT...
