I certainly don't believe that SFG management treat shareholders with contempt. But they do prefer to provide updates only as more significant milestones are reached, and whilst that is understandable I believe it doesn't hurt to provide a general update to at least appease us more interested shareholders!
Whilst I'm not aware of the day to day workings in the company I'm confident there's a lot of things happening behind the scenes! And it's only a matter of weeks probably before we start seeing some real price action (on the UPSIDE!).
