You know as well as I do this isn't a day to day issue. See what's happening in a few months and a year down the track. At this point I haven't seen anything resembling a smoking gun, but I have seen significant number of very serious accusations from VGI based on false understandings, or potentially just lies. I appreciate that doesn't  automatically mean my assumptions are correct and I've certainly seen companies provide false information or legitimately have no understanding of how their own business functions financially, but the evidence at this point seems more skewed towards VGI lacking in that understanding here.

If I'm to make my best guess on has occurred, I suspect VGI grossly misinterpreted the nature of the lack of interest on the companies cash balance and assumed something very sinister was happening, leading to a number of other worst case scenario assumptions while the reality was far more mundane.
