hate to rock the boat for all you chm'ers...But any ammount MMX were prepared to pay as settlement to chm and funder....which funder was maybe prepared to accept...Because funder knows the legal business inside and out and a lot better than chm or cfe....was in all liklihood around $18 mill...Now if the funder..who is very VERY experienced in Litigation felt that offer was good and worthy of acceptance 2 svenarios vome to mind..
1/ funder felt any award from court would not be that much more and not worthy of the risk...so $18-20 mill looks tops..
2/ Chm wanted more and funder felt not much hope of that..either by negotiation with MMX or by award..
3/ funder likely to be in a much better position to make judgement on this as this is there sole business....
4/ And remember If funder felt there was opportunity for more..he would have been happy to wait it out cos there was no more cost for him anyway...just a few weeks/months....Hence the very experienced funder must have felt, MMX's offer was worth taking...so get ready chm....dissapointment is afoot if you're hoping for anything north of $30 mill!!!!!
