My understanding is that Central JV lodged an application for EL1 but, while BCL held it & was applying for an extension, it couldn'tbe considered & was held in waiting for the BCL decision.

Now that the BCL application has been refused, applications would be open & it could be considered but I would think that gets back into the political minefield as previously the ABG was supporting / pushing BCL & not entertaining other parties.

That is why the recent meeting between the SMLOLA & ABG was so significant in opening dialogue & co-operation again.

Also @blackskinpla, i appreciate your scepticism, but the Central Me'ekamui JV is just that, a 50/50 joint venture between the Bougainvillean landowners & Central Exploration P/L. Not the token recognition you refer to with BCL. This will become clear to all as talks proceed & information is passed on.
