Yes, I’m banking on the same analysis, and I bought another tranche around $20 a while back.
So did I.
While it is hard to understand why people would sell when the SP was relatively stable, there's no accounting for people's irrational behaviour. They must have their own reasons. The trick is to not catastrophise reasons into existence because someone else is being irrational. That's the basis for conspiracy theory thinking. As we know, the world is full of "fake news" mentality today.
Conspiracists think that they are not just entitled to their own opinions, which of course they are, but also to their own interpretations of facts, which they most definitely are not. Fake news happens when someone turns their irrational opinions into "alternative" explanations for paradoxical facts they cannot understand. (Or more often, cannot accept as being true.) Those irrational opinions then turn an incredible premise into a "fake fact" that seems to them to be more likely to be true to them than the less paranoid alternative.
In this case paranoia is expressed as: "AP's DSR chip is a fantastic and revolutionary idea. It will make lots of money when it is taken to market. AP's cap value is huge for a company without a saleable product or any revenue. So far AP has had a few problems building the chip. They have not finished it yet. They seem to be taking a long time. They don't explain it well. Maybe they don't know how to fix it. Maybe it cannot be fixed. [paranoia = this is too good to be true] Maybe they are deliberately obfuscating. Maybe the whole thing is all a big con. Maybe the owners will sell the company to some other sucker. I'd better sell now before I lose all my money. I'd better sell cheap before everyone catches on to this."
My response to this is to do my own research, to trust the announcements, to believe in the abilities of those involved in solving the problems, and to hold on to my shares, and to add more as I can afford to do so prudently. And, don't attribute rational behaviour to others who seem to be acting contrary to the pattern of facts!
Faint heart never won fair maiden!
