Hi to all,
Some may think I have recently been very hard on David Breeze I admit I pull no punches when I feel aggrieved particularly as what I see as a senseless waste of opportunity and money.
Not that I feel I need to explain myself I will offer my own personal view below. David whilst I remain critical of your methods please try and see this as constructive criticism.
I have run my own private company for over twenty years and I only know one way to run a company and that is effectively and for profit. My company has the large mining companies as its main clients and over the years I have learned that the key to good business is to deliver as promised. That is delivery dates for equipment to site, plans, and maintenance / training schedules are not promised and then not delivered. It is a very simple strategy; however, I assure you it works!
With ken Talbot as the driving force at Coppabella it was only eighteen months between the decision to put the first spade in the ground and loading coal onto the first ship and let us not forget that was in Queensland and included all planning, applications, approvals, construction etc.
Maybe my problem is I think most people going into the start up of a business are like me they see the tasks ahead of them and simply work through them and tick them off as they go. I could go on; however, I am over BUY and BPH and in future investments I will make sure the management style is of a more can do nature before putting up money.
Maybe there are just too many balls to juggle and a better approach would be to sink ones teeth into one of the more solid medical companies and just work at it until it comes to fruition. Then again no one is paying me for business advice either.
I don,t ask that everyone agrees with my business methods and I guess there is room in the world for various other style s and techniques; however, I can assure you that promising to do something and delivering on that promise has worked well for me for over twenty years.
Good luck to all. Very best regards: Andy
