I had a house with a wood fireplace for heating and a peaked roof with verandas windows and doors for cooling.
I then lived in a small motor-home and went north for winter and south for summer.
I now live in a small flat with 240 volts [temporary I hope ] and have a fan heater and pedestal fan.
