Seven producers issued a joint statement
notifying their customers of a mutually-agreed increase in prices, citing rising costs and low mine supply. Separately, domestic customers resorted to import graphite from Africa.
Graphite producers in Jixi city, in China’s south-eastern Heilongjiang province, came together to announce a mutually-agreed increase in graphite prices, which they said was needed on the back of fast-rising costs affecting operations.
