From the below link: Despite the treatment, there was the possibility of an algal bloom in Lake Hugh Muntz this summer as algae lays dormant within the lake (even with the presence of Phoslock®).The City will continue to closely monitor the duration and severity of this algal bloom to determine the effectiveness of Phoslock® and assist with developing our long term water quality management strategies.Further updates will be provided when water quality recovers.
