Putting all the other issues aside, I agree that it's the uncompetitive AISC that has made this goldie un loved by investors. I can't see what will change this problem for quiet sometime. It's really only good at this time for alittle bit of trading and there are probably better choices (safer) in the gold sector for that activity.
