Further to the CGT rule. If you place that home into a family trust (discretionary trust) and it is sold after that it will attract CGT.
There are many things to consider here not just a blanket heading.
I was originally talking about Principle Place of residence and said there was no CGT on that, but that can be what you call "the family home" or not.
