Currently if you sell your Primary place of residence you dont get CGT on the sale unless you are a foreign owner.
Not so exactly correct --> My primary place of residence is 65 acres and if I sell, 60 of it is subject to CGT. But if I should actually sell it and it produces a loss, no one wants to know about it. The loss can only ever be claimed, if in the future there is a CGT event.
Looks very much like a one way street, where only interested in you, if you make a profit.
