Who knows, governments are bankrupt and will go after anything which is why SMSF are not such a good idea anymore as they are easy for governments to strip money out of.
As far as inheritance tax goes. If you have everything in a discretionary fund then you make the people you want to leave it to a Trustee of the fund there will be no inheritance tax. The reason being is that the fund is the only legal entity that owns anything, the Trustees nor the beneficiaries own nothing. This is one reason Politicians and lots of people use funds and have used them for hundreds of years so they can pass on what they own to their children. I think that is only just and right that a person who worked all their life can pass that on to their children without the government tearing it apart.
