Yes certainly looks that way, if you're on borderline in currently not getting a pension (welfare) best advice would be to cash in shares, buy a more expensive property, get the pension (welfare), leave the house to the kids when you die?
Unfortunately doesn't do much for the balance of trade overall as you are no longer investing in aussie companies that have the capacity to grow. I know they are only tinkering at the weak edges of society but it does indicate a labor policy direction that demotivates and de-incentivises people who have a bit of get up and go to better themselves, and society as a whole. But socialism is a bit like that you have a JOB, .......................Just Above Broke!
